Adam Sidwell is more than just an author; he created models for monsters in movies such as “Tron” and “Pirates of the Caribbean.” He studied Computer Science and Animation and has participated in the making of many Hollywood movies. According to Sidwell, movies and books are very similar because they both introduce a story to whoever reads the book or watches the movie. He says that the story for a movie was written down on paper before the movie was created, kind of like a book. Stories not only have structures, but they have themes as well. Both movies and books have hooks to make the reader/viewer interested, and they all have a storyline. In addition, all stories have a subject that the story is about.
Sidwell creates stories by drawing inspiration from personal experiences. These stories include Chum and Evertaster. The theme of Chum is that a kid named Levi Middleworth is on a quest for fame. His journey ended up being a little more rough than he expected it to be, and he has to take part in a reality show aboard a pirate ship (and try to not get turned into a meal for the sharks). In Evertaster, an eleven-year-old picky eater named Guster Johnsonville sets off on a journey to find the ultimate taste. To do this, he has to travel miles and face various obstacles. One of these obstacles is a group of gorillas inspired by a real life adventure in which Sidwell got to see gorillas himself.
