Hey guys. As you already know, the playoffs have started for the World Series, and our Colorado Rockies are one of the four remaining teams. Please comment this blog with your answer to, "Can the Rockies win the World Series." I'd love to know how much faith you have in our team. I never watched any MLB games this summer, but I knew about the incredible winning streak, and it was hard not to get caught up in the excitement when they won the National League Wild Card. Obviously, the Rocky Mountain News got quite swept up in the excitement, seeing that they added a whole section to the paper called "Rocktober."
After beating the San Diego Padres for the Wild Card and sweeping the Philadelphia Phillies to get to the National League Championships, the Rockies will play Game 2 against the Arizona Diamondbacks October 12 at 8:00. And their off to a good start. Game One on October 11th started out slow, at 1-nothing Diamondbacks. But the Rockies pulled it together for an incredible win, tying the game, then taking the lead. The Diamondbacks (so-called D-Backs) never regained the lead. The final score was 5-1 Rockies. Can the Rockies pull a sweep this week against the D-Backs? Only time will tell.
