Photography- A Way Of Life
I've been gone for a long time! I forgot all about this great site! Now that I am back, I have one very important announcement to share. I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY! I am dedicating this blog to all things photography. I will show you my latest, and ask that you rate it. Also, I will be showing you how to edit your own photos on a free software called GIMP. If you would like to check out my Flickr account, use this link http://www.flickr.com/photos/davisroxyoursox/ Thanks everyone! :Davis

Okay guys, here's that tutorial on eye color I said I would make. On this tutorial, I will be using GIMP. GIMP is a free photo manipulation program. To get it, see my earlier blog post about it. All the steps are in the pictures, but I will post them here as well.
1. Import your picture and create a new layer.
2. Zoom into one or both of the eyes using the Magnifying Glass Tool.
3. Select the Paintbrush Tool and select the color you want your eyes to be.
4. Change the Paintbrush Tool mode from Normal to Color.
5. Select the Lasso Tool (or Free Select Tool [they are called the same thing] and outline one of the eyes.
6. Using the Paintbrush tool, fill in the eye.
7. Switch the Paintbrush setting back ton normal, and the foreground color to black.
8. Recreate the pupil.
9. Switch the foreground color to white and recreate the white flash spots.
10. Select the Burn Tool, making sure the foreground color is still white.
11. Rub the Burn Tool across the bottom part of the eye.
12. Deselect the eye.
13. Repeat steps 4-10 for the second eye.
14. Zoom out using the Magnify Glass Tool.
15. Change the opacity of the picture so that the eyes look normal.
Thanks! I hope this works for you guys! If you have a question, I believe you can shoot me over an e-mail type thing on this website! Please rate and leave comments! Have a nice day!
By the way, hair color tutorial coming soon!
