NBA and NHL Today

Last night the Nuggets lost to the Miami Heat 96-88. They have been playing great. The Nuggets were undefeated before last night. Carmelo Anthony had a good game, scoring 30 points! Chauncey Billups only scored 6 points. Our rookie Ty Lawson scored 11 points. Arron Afflalo had 18 points. Last night the Nuggets were outplayed, giving 22 points to Dwayne Wade, 18 to Michael Beasley, and 16 to Mario Chalmers. The Nuggets weren't ready for the tough defense or the explosive offense of the Heat. More NBA scores from yesterday: Suns 110,Celtics 103. Bobcats 103, Hawks 83. Cav's 100, Knicks 91. Now to the NHL last night. The Avalanche won 4-3 in a shootout. Rick O'Reily, our rookie, scored twice. Stewart scored the winning goal in the shootout. Craig Anderson had 29 saves. That's it for today. Read tomorrow to find out what happens in the Nuggets-Hawks game.
