I have recently veiwed three awesome movies, although they are a bit older, (one is from the 1940's), they are soooooooo cool! The movies are
It's a Wonderful Life, School of Rock,
and
National Treasure.
It's a Wonderful Life,
is the oldest of the three, but one of the more tear-jerking ones. It is about this man, George Bailey, who at the age of nine loses all ability to hear in one of his ears, in order to save his brother's life. The movie is a recap of George's life, seen through the eyes of an angel. The angel has one hour to save George's life as an adult before he, (sadly), commits suicide. I won't tell you what happens next, but I should mention one last thing about this movie, it is so old it's in all black and white!
The next movie is
School of Rock,
starring Jack Black. It is about, Dewey Finn who is trying to hit it big with hsi and who suddenly kicks him out. Dewey, (Jack Black), still really wants to enter in the contest his band was entering, and soon finds himself in a school, posing as his roomate, Ned Schneebly, a substitute teacher. Dewey finds himself working with a very talented group of kids, and soon they enter the contest. Once again I really don't want to tell you the ending, because I don't want to be a spoiler, so to find out what completely happens, you'll have to watch the movie!!!
The last but not least movie I want to tell you about is
National Treasure,
starring Nicholas Cage as Ben Franklin Gates. Ever since he was a kid he was obbsessed with finding this extraordinary treasure. He soon becomes wrapped up in a mystery and a crime, along with his, (I think hilarious), partner Riley. He ends up stealing the Declaration of Independence, to keep his ex-partner Ian, from reaching it first and damaging it. This movie is one of my favorites, because people keep telling Ben there is no treasure and to give up, but he doesn't, after saying this, there is a very unexpected ending, and NO I won't spoil it.
Hope that if you watch any of these movies you will enjoy it, but untill then, keep writing!!!!!!!!!

I keep on looking in the TV Guide to find when it is on, but I never seem to find it! (P.S. Can't wait for National Treasure 2 to come out on DVD so we can continue our discussion!)

All these movies seem really good! Of course I have seen National Treasure but I haven't seen these other two. A lot of kids in my clase have seen "It's A Wonderful Life" and said it was a really good movie. I have also heard good things about "School of Rock". My friends said that Miranda Cosgrove does a wonderful job in her role that she plays in the film. Anyway, FANTASTIC blog and an interesting topic!

Hey Lauren, thanks for the input!!! Yes I have seen National Treasure Book of Secrets, and if you go to the story Is That a Treasure Map? By Chase Hoven, you can read more about the movie. PS, check out the comments on that story too!

Great Story! I loved National Treasure! It's one of my favorite movies. I agree with you that Riley is hilarious. He is my favorie character and by far the funniest. By the way if you haven't already, you should see National Treasure: Book of Secrets. It is better than the first one, and Riley is funnier.
