Eldest is the sequel to Eragon, (another book I did a blog about). It takes Eragon to the land of the elves, Du Weldenvarden, for the rest of his dragon training. Araya (an elf), Orik (a dwarf), and Saphira (his trusty blue dragon) accompany him there. There he prepares himself to eventually fight the deadly King Galbortrix, who is invading Surda. He is doing this because he doesn't rule this land and he wants it. This book also has two more points of view, Nausdia and Roran. Nausdia is head of the Varden and is stationed in Surda. Roran is Eragon's cousin who was fled Carvahall because... well if i tell you it ruins half the book. This is another great reason to read this book. But I loved this book. I felt like I was in Alegsia itself. I got so into an intense part that I could feel the adrenalin running though my legs. So if you like fantasy then this is the book for you. It was awesome book. Hope you get around to it!!!
