Mike Williams and other delegates have an important role to play. Mike Williams from Tallahassee, Fla., is what is called a floor whip. Floor whips are assigned to an area to keep order On Wednesday, August 27, when all the delegates vote, the floor whips will also collect all of the ballots.

Another delegate from Bronx, New York, was dressed in green with a beer hat. "My hat represents a beer to Hillary Clinton from Barack Obama" said Awilda Cordero. "Hillary opened a door for American women, and I admire her," commented Cordero. "This election is important because it is the first African-American and women candidate. It is very important that everybody comes out to vote". A couple other delegates had on all red white and blue.

"It is important for young people to get involved in the government, because you can make positive changes in the government. I was the mayor of New York, and it was the most satisfying thing I've ever done," said former mayor Rudy Giuliani.
