New Book Shares Stunning World Records
Contributed by: Lillian Lungren on 9/30/2009

The Guinness World Records of 2010 book was released on September 17 in London and is now available all around the world. It's an all-out great book! I got a sneak-peak, and I personally love it for all the cool, amazing, and interesting records in it.

This book has information about space, planet Earth, animals, the body, human achievements, travelers' tales, the modern world, engineering, technology, art, media, and sports.

Test yours friends. . . . trick your parents. . . . dazzle your teachers with brain-throbbing facts.

For example, the deepest underwater bicycling record is 214 feet and 10 inches, going a distance of 1.24 miles. I think that that's remarkable. And speaking of underwater adventures, did you know that the deepest a dog has ever ventured underwater is exactly 13 feet, and the dog was actually in a scuba diving uniform?

Lots of records don't involve water, like the tallest cake ever created is 108 feet and 3 inches tall. I would never be able to eat that!

This book is great for when you're wondering how long the longest pair of finger nails are. The answer is 28 feet and 4 inches long.

The longest legs are 4 feet and 6 inches, belonging to a Russian woman. I am 4 feet 11 inches so her legs are almost as tall as my whole body!

When you're on a road trip or in a plane and you want to read something interesting, this is the absolute perfect book. Some people like me love to have information about odd things, such as records. If you're like that, then you will very much enjoy this book.

This book is my favorite of the Guinness World Records books that I have ever read. If fascinating facts appeal to you, I suggest going out as fast as you can and buying the book. You can view even more pictures and videos and unlock Internet secrets using the code from the book.
