Sweet Time At The Truck Stop...
Half way between Denver, CO. and Cheyenne, WY. you will find Johnson's Corner. Home of the AMAZING cinnamon rolls and much, much, more. Johnson's Corner is more than a Restaurant, It is a Bakery, Truckstop, with a Convenience Store, Trucker's Store, Service Station, and even a Chapel. Just think, all this got started with the determination and hard work of Joe S. Johnson and one of his managers, Clayton Bearly. In 1952, the doors opened, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and has been running strong ever since.
My family and I stopped in for lunch last week and had a great time. It was so nice to see how much food you got for such a low price. For the cost of a value meal at a fast food restaurant, you got a home cooked meal with a drink and if you were still hungry, a slice of pie. Or like my family, we split a giant cinnamon roll.( You can't come to Johnson's Corner without trying one).
I would recommend Johnson's Corner to everyone. It was a great place to eat and enjoy the truck stop environment. I give it a A++++ and good for all ages. Just remember, the Food Network called it "The Top truck stop restaurant in the country of 2004" and "One of the top 10 best breakfast spots in the world" by Travel & Leisure Magazine 1998.
