The Explorer-Ops Trek Pak
Contributed by: Mary Anne Porto on 9/6/2007

Are you ready to check out nature with the Explorer-Ops Trek Pak? When I reviewed this utility belt I discovered that bugs aren't my favorite. To use the toy, buckle on this belt and carry all the equipment needed for bug hunting. The five tools included are tweezers, a magnifying glass, creature jar, compass, and butterfly net. There are five pockets, three on one side and two on the other. A fold down wallet has a space for the smaller tools.

It would be helpful to include gloves and a shovel. I was having trouble using the tweezers to pick up the smaller critters and I'm not so sure the bugs were very fond of me after I had picked, poked, pinched, and sometimes squished them. On the positive side, I like how you can adjust the waist, and how the fold down wallet has a cool blue camouflage design.

The Explorer-Ops Trek Pak is an attractive toy for kids that are five and up who want to get to know wildlife better, if not so much a bug fanatic, like me, I wouldn't include this toy on the shopping list.

Great review but next time I would say how much money it cost and where to find it too. :)
