!Every year lots of schools send their sixth grade classes on a three day trip to Outdoor Education! Students who choose to go will get to go up in to the mountains for three days and two nights to do all kinds of fun school oriented activities like Water Ecology, GPS Navigation and a zipline! Kids are in groups with a teacher, parent volunteer and other kids from their grade to participate in the activities.
Several schools have fundraisers to help kids pay for the trip. 200 dollars is a lot of money so some schools have students sell cookies, wrapping paper and other household items to help pay for their trip. Even if kids can't sell enough or can't afford the trip some schools have student scholarship loans for students who have can't afford to go. How to they get the extra money? Any extra money that students make from their fundraiser will go toward other students trips. This trip will be the highlight of anyone's sixth grade year and I know you will have just as much fun as I did at Outdoor Education!
