Who would want to live on the prairie? Well, if you are interested in a book that has action and maybe sadness in it, I have an amazing book for you.
The book is called "Little House on the Prairie". It does not have any killing or anything bad in the book. I think it is a just right book for third grade and above. Little House on the Prairie is mainly about how they lived back then. Here are the main characters Pa(dad), Ma(mom), Mary(sister) Laura(the big sister). The family had just moved in from the woods.
There are no other families who live on the prairie. That would mean that Mary and Laura cannot make any new friends. The family learns that Indians will steal from them. Like blankets, cups & bowls. Ma was okay with that. Sometimes Ma would give the Indians food. .She made friends with the Indians.
I hope that you can read the" Little House on the Prairie." It is such a great book! Have fun with the book!

Hi Alec, You grabbed my attention in your lead. You did forget to tell the reader the author which is very important in a book review. I noticed you did not use the NVBP summary organization. That is very important so the reader understand the maid idea of the story and the BMMME details necessary in a summary. You tried describing a specific event but your sentence fluency became confusing for the reader to follow. When is "back then" by the way? It's odd that you would say that "ma was okay with indians stealing from them". That just doesn't make sense? In your conclusion you didn't tell what age group you would recommend this book and why. I noticed you commented on 3 of your classmates' writing. That's a good start, keep reading the reviews to look for models of excellence to help you in your next book review. I would love to see your sweet smile posted in the picture of your web page too.
Alec I loved your book review. My mom keeps telling me I need to read little house on the prairie. I am going to read it now because you just had to tell me a little bit about the book.
I thought that you did a pretty good job on the third paragraph, but I'd like more details and for third graders and up, do you mean 8-10 or something like that?
Alec,You did a great job with the book review. What I think you can work on is not using the word "I" throughout the book review, but other than that you did great.Thanks,KalinaP.S. Can you put a picture of your book please.
