The Best Pool You Will Ever Find!
The hot springs pool in Glenwood is the place you want to go for vacation. The water is natural from the environment so it is very hot but they add some cold water to it because if they didn’t do that then it would be way too hot to swim in. The water has many minerals in it. Did you know that the hot springs pool has chlorine added to it? The water is monitored 24 hours a day to make sure there isn’t anything poisonous for the guests. Also, the hot tub/spa is very hot it is 104° F and 40° C. That’s hot! This pool however stinks a little like rotten eggs and doesn’t taste very good.
The Glenwood Springs pool is open all year long except for September 5, 2012 and November 6th and 7th, 2012. That’s unfortunate, but it will be clean when you visit. If you want to leave early and come back later you can get your hand stamped which is located near the main entrance. The pool has 2 slides but you have to pay extra to use them. It is required that you pay $5.50 to ride the slides. You should know that there is a diving board in the 12 ft end so if you can’t swim very well, I don’t recommend going on the diving board or swimming in that area. Oh, and if you do want to go on the diving board you have to take your goggles off because it is a rule that they have. According to their website, “the world’s largest hot springs pool was born in the newly established town of Glenwood Springs, CO. in 1888”. They do provide locker rooms for you to change, wash off, or anything else you need to do.
This place is an amazing place to go to because it is so very fun. Kids take your parents along with you and have a great trip!
