The Boutique summer dance season has just kicked off with an intense dance camp taught by guest choreographer Laurel Bashore. What better way to spend a portion of your summer than learning new techniques, staying in shape through dance, and having fun loosening up while being creative?
Boutique Dance Academy is a newer dance studio that teaches kids 4-18 jazz, lyrical, ballet, pointe, tap, contemporary, and other innovative dance styles. This summer Boutique offers a variety of camps ranging in age group and time of day.
This week at Boutique, Laurel Bashore, an up-and-coming dancer, is teaching dancers with an unique approach on everything you would expect from a dance class. In her class, and also in the classes of Laura, Amber, and Beka, studio teachers, you receive step by step instruction, helpful feedback, and much more. After the first twenty minutes of Boutique’s first dance intensive of the summer, everyone was panting and sweating profusely. Everyone was also smiling; including me. Laurel Bashore’s camp runs from June 18th through June 22nd, so come try it out before it’s over!
Boutique Dance Academy resides in Castle Rock, right next to Village Fitness. Summer intensives run from the week of June 18th up until the week of July 23rd. Depending on the week, the camp times vary. Come try a class for a day and see what Boutique is all about. The ‘walk in’ fee is only $15. Just contact studio owner, Laura Hinton.
I love dancing at Boutique and would encourage others to come join our dance family. Boutique’s philosophy is, “Boutique’s primary goals are to enrich the lives of our students through the art of dance, empowering them with the values of self esteem, discipline, responsibility, team work, respect, commitment, and passion.” To me, these goals extend beyond the goals you would find at your average dance studio. Boutique has been such a positive influence in my life. I’ve learned so much, and hope others can too. This influence can start today if you visit http://www.boutiquedanceacademy.com and register for summer intensives.
