High Plains Singers

The High Plains Singers were formed in 1995, The High Plains Singers is a community choir based in Elizabeth, CO. The choir averages 45-50 singers of ages 8th grade and older and musical backgrounds and requires of participants only the marvelous love of music, a desire to sing and a commitment to weekly practice.
Saturday, December 6th the High Plains Singers had a wonderful concert directed by John Dahm. There were a few solos which I really enjoyed. Especially the solo by 90 year old Adeline Skutlety. She sang "Gospel Magnificat" beautifully and in perfect tune! Their concert proved ANYONE can sing. The concert was very inspiring to me and I also really loved the song "Christmas on Broadway". The concert also involved the children in the audience. John Dahm had all the children come up by the stage and sing "Jingle Bells" with the choir! It was incredibly fun and I hope to attend next year!
