Snicker Doodles

A snicker doodle is a well-known cookie, with a sugar cookie base and coated with a sugar and cinnamon. Snicker doodles are enjoyed all year round but are usually more popular during the holidays.
Ingredients:
1. ½ cup of butter
2. 1 ½ cup of flour
3. 1 cup of sugar
4. 1 egg
5. ½ teaspoon of vanilla
6. ¼ teaspoon of baking soda
7. ¼ teaspoon of cream of tartar
8. 2 tablespoon of sugar
9. 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
Instructions:
1. Beat ½ cup of butter in an electric mixer on high for 30 seconds
2. Add half of the flour (¾ cup), 1 cup of sugar, 1 egg, ½ teaspoon of vanilla, ¼ teaspoon of baking soda, and ¼ teaspoon of cream of tartar into the electric mixer with the butter.
3. Beat on high until the ingredients are completely mixed.
4. Beat in the remaining flour.
5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap.
6. Chill the dough in the fridge for 1 hour.
7. Shape the dough into 1 inch balls.
8. Combine 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon into a small bowl.
9. Roll the balls of dough in the bowl of cinnamon and sugar.
10. Place each ball 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie pan.
11. Preheat the oven at 375 degrees.
12. Bake for 10-11 minutes.
13. Cool cookies on a wire rack.
