That Special Place

The sun beats down, and shimmering silver streaks rippling across the cool, blue water.
Around the lake, flowers poke their heads out of the soft spongy soil,
Brilliant hues of red blue, yellow and pink are revealed as they peek their delicate faces out through minute cracks in the ground.
An oak tree towers over the lake, declaring its authority to all who dare to venture near.
I dash toward the lake and jump into the water, shattering the mirror of water.
I feel the refreshing water wash over me as I plunge in and sink sown, down, down in blissful silence.
Down, down, in that special place.
