Colorado Day is August 1st!

August, 1st 2017 is Colorado’s 141st birthday, and there is no better thing to celebrate it with then the numerous free activities and events. Colorado Parks and Wildlife has removed admission from all state parks in Colorado. That’s 42 parks! Every state park is unique, you can go to the beach at Chatfield State Park (.5 Hour from Denver) or spend the day fishing at Crawford State Park (1.5 Hours from Grand Junction) Many different adventures await you in every state park. Make sure you get to your favorite park early, because some locations have limited parking. Not only that, but there are multiple museums all over Colorado that are free. The History Colorado Center in Denver has prepared all sorts of activities such as live performances and a Colorado birthday cake. Even more activities and local celebrations are being announced as the day comes closer, so get out and have fun on Colorado’s 141st birthday!
