The Fantasy Diaries: The Diary of Marie Locklear

December 15 1789
Lucy has lived through the night. She still has a high fever though, and Papa says we should take her out into the snow for a minute or two. But when he says that, he gets a very loud scolding from Mama. She does worry that putting her by the fire will increase her fever however. I have made Lucy a doll which she dearly loves, in which I am glad because it took a long time to sew. Mama does not permit me to take my needlework to the town seamstress, as she wants me to develop my needle skills. Still I wish she would let me. Will sew a dress for Lucy.
