Fantasy Football Strategy

Fantasy Football, we have all seen commercials for it but is it really worth all the hype? In my opinion, yes, it is. Not only is it challenging, trying to get the best players in order to lead your team to victory, but you have to be strategic and “Tell the future”. You have to guess whether players with have breakout seasons or just be draft day studs. The decision is yours. While most people go for players like Antonio Brown or Tom Brady, it would be smart to draft rookies or players who you think will have a good season, that way you can get them all early and before anyone else can snatch them. Last year, Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott was on average the 8-10th pick in 12 team drafts. Last season Ezekiel Elliott had 295 total points, yet only had a 78% start rate. On the other hand, Antonio Brown had a total of 200 points, 95 less than Elliot, but had an 8% better start rate. Fantasy Football players took Brown earlier in the draft but paid the price when playing opposing players with breakout players including Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott.
