Although Blake Bates, a Rock Canyon High School student shaved his hair off during Wish Week to demonstrate support for Hope, a child with a life threatening condition, he didn’t realize that he was deserving of a wish as well. Taking into account his frequent stays at Children’s hospital and severity of his seizures, his mom submitted a wish referral inquiry to Make-A-Wish Foundation. Recently, he was granted a wish because he too has a potentially life threatening health condition.

Denver Comic Con was an outstanding experience like no other. Innovation, aspiration, and excitement mingled with every single attendee. Comic Con was a place where people with a wondrous sense of ambitious admiration gathered to celebrate creative ideas that were sprung to life out of people with superpowers of the imagination. An unimaginable amount of people stood united in an enormous celebration of their love for comics and the positive impact on their lives. Seas of people expressed tsunamis of excitement.

On September 10, 2016, The annual Rocky Mt . PBS Kids Fair was running from 10 AM to 2 PM. The packed street fair was held at Bannock and 11th in the downtown Denver area. It was open to the general public, and focused on kids who love the PBS Kids TV shows.

The Denver Zoo recently introduced four new ‘cubs’ to their Predator Ridge exhibit. Born on May 17 2015, the four brothers Kito (meaning jewel), Bahati (meaning lucky), Usiku (meaning night), and Jasiri (meaning adventurous) have caused newfound excitement to sprout within the zoo. “They're kind of like the second generation of Predator Ridge,” Hollie Colahan, Vice President of Animal Care says, “The cats that we opened this exhibit with over ten years ago are gone and now we have this new group.”
