In the derelict and seemingly harmony-less, directors Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas have created music. The promenade of percussion begins on a stage filled with (what seems to be) discarded rubbish. Then, the eight performers slowly make their entrance, carrying nothing but common brooms. All of a sudden, the subtle build-up of taps and clicks crescendos into rhythm-filled, wordless song. This is Stomp!

They also offer a variety of activities for kids, such as Dissection Connection, where kids 2nd to 9th grade and their parent get the opportunity to look at anatomy in a way that’s usually not accessible to people.

This year, there were 24 authors from around the country, each writing wholly different genres from romance to adventure stories. Yet each of these authors has one thing in common: their passion for writing and their happiness to discuss all the trials, tribulations and joys of being a writer.

Paris in the 1860’s was a hostile place for women artists. During the age of Impressionism, countless women artists were under-credited and their work forgotten by the competitive eyes of a male dominated society. It is in the new exhibit curated by the Denver Art Museum entitled Her Paris: Women Artists in the Age of Impressionism that the masterpieces of these seemingly forgotten women are showcased and their intricate stories are brought to light.

Although Blake Bates, a Rock Canyon High School student shaved his hair off during Wish Week to demonstrate support for Hope, a child with a life threatening condition, he didn’t realize that he was deserving of a wish as well. Taking into account his frequent stays at Children’s hospital and severity of his seizures, his mom submitted a wish referral inquiry to Make-A-Wish Foundation. Recently, he was granted a wish because he too has a potentially life threatening health condition.

Denver Comic Con was an outstanding experience like no other. Innovation, aspiration, and excitement mingled with every single attendee. Comic Con was a place where people with a wondrous sense of ambitious admiration gathered to celebrate creative ideas that were sprung to life out of people with superpowers of the imagination. An unimaginable amount of people stood united in an enormous celebration of their love for comics and the positive impact on their lives. Seas of people expressed tsunamis of excitement.
