Many volunteers came out to help serve Denver's needy last Saturday.

For 3,526 homeless and needy families in Denver, a warm meal is much needed on a cold day. On November 10, an early Thanksgiving meal of turkey, fruit, cakes, and much more was provided to them.

To earn their Girl Scout Bronze Award, Junior Girl Scouts must complete a book called a Girl Scout Junior Journey as one of the seven steps. At the end of "Agent of Change," one of the three books available, they are required to do a service project in their community. Junior Troop #3378 is at this step of the book.

Girl Scout Troop #3378 is decorating flip-flops to give to Children's Home of Denver, where preteens and teens ages 10-18 live because they can't live at home for various reasons.

For two months, six girls were working on a project that would help 74 people. This project was making scarves to give to a homeless shelter.
When winter starts, many homeless shelters don't have enough warm clothing for the first biting cold night. One of these homeless shelters is called Colorado Homeless Families. It is dedicated to helping those in need.
