Mousse au Chocolate Difficultly- MODERATE This recipe for light, fluffy chocolate mousse has been in our family for years. It takes some practice, but once you get the hang of it, it’s simple. This is sure to disappear quickly. You will need an adults help with this. MAKE SURE YOU READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL DERICTONS BEFORE MAKING THIS DISH! Ingredients- 6oz Semisweet baking Chocolate 1/4 cup light cream OR 1/4 cup heavy cream OR 1/4 cup milk 1tsp. vanilla dash of salt 4 eggs, yolk and whites SEPPRATED 1/4 cup of sugar Directions- Melt chocolate in saucpan over low heat, stirring constantly. Blend in cream (or milk), vanilla and salt. Beat egg WHITES until foamy throughout. Gradually add in sugar to egg WHITES and continue beating until the mixture forms stiff peaks. Put the egg whites aside and add the chocolate to egg YOLKS, beating until thick and creamy. Now, gently but thoroughly fold chocolate and egg YOLK mixture into the egg WHITE mixture. Finally, spoon mixture into individual dessert dishes or serving bowl. Chill at least 2 hours. For a different taste, try using different types of chocolate. Also, you can layer mousse with whip cream or cool whip in a small dish.
