Book review on Counting Coup

Kristofer Lambert writes, Counting CoupThis book is very interesting in many ways.

Counting CoupThis book is very interesting in many ways. First, it talks about the Crow Indian way of life then, it tells about how to become a crow chief on the reservation. Joseph Medicine Crow (the author) describes about the Crow Indians did and how they did it. I mostly enjoyed the book from beginning to end. I would recommend this book to anyone. It is very descriptive in many ways. I think 2nd grade kids on up would enjoy this book. Joseph Medicine Crow also wrote The Crow Indians Own. Joseph Medicine Crow was raised by his own two sets of grandparents. Also, as a young boy he went to a Baptist school that was built on their reservation so, his grandpa told him to go there and learn how to speak English so he could communicate to the white skinned people or as known the English men. He was the first Crow Indian to get his P.H.D. He fought on the American’s side in WW2 against the Germans, and in his helmet he tucked a feather from his ancestors passed down to him. You should read this book because it is very interesting and very detailed.
