Allyson Malecha writes, If anyone asked me what I am thankful for…

If anyone asked me what I am thankful for, I would say, “I am thankful for my family because they are the best a girl could possible hope to have.” I would also tell them I am thankful for my family because they are always there for me and love me even when I am not having the best time. For instance, when I’m feeling down someone will always ask me why I’m feeling sad and help me work through the problem. I am also very thankful for my kitten Neville and my little sister Chloe. I think they really are great at encouraging me to do my best and remind me to have fun and be positive. This Thanksgiving, I will show my family how grateful I am to have them there for me by telling them how great they really are. I would encourage everyone to start a tradition this year by telling their family members how much they love them and appreciate all they do.Allyson, 6th grade ,Westminster

  1. Good story…
Good story, except there is a typo in the first sentence. It says: “If anyone asks me what I am thankful for, I would say, I am thankful for my family because they are the best a girl could ask for.” It should say: “best ‘gift’ a girl could ask for.” I would change that, but other wise, great story.
