This August Denver will be holding the Democratic National Convention. In preparation for this important event, the PepsiCenter held a media walkthrough on Tuesday November 13th. That day over 400 reporters, photographers, and blogers from all over the country came to learn about how the convention would be set up. All of the different sections of the media had their own needs for the convention. The photographers wanted to know whether they would be able to be on the floor with the delegates so that they could take good pictures. The TV stations wanted to know where the delegate would make their speech so that they could catch it on film. The blogers were very concerned that they should get good seats. At lunch, Howard Dean, the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee came and talked to the media. One of the things he talked about was trying to make this convention as green as possible. This was obvious because all the media booklets were provided on a flash drive rather than printed on paper. Although the convention is not until August of ’08 people have already started working very hard to make this a successful Democratic National Convention.
