Horton Hears a Who

Mary Anne Porto writes, Horton Hears a Who is about Horton the Elephant…

Horton Hears a Who is about Horton the Elephant, voiced by Jim Carrey, who discovers a speck that is actually a microscopic town called Whoville. Steve Carell plays McDod, the mayor of this community, which is in danger of being destroyed. No one in the Jungle of Knool, Horton’s much bigger world, will help or believe in the tiny village, except for Horton himself, who says, “A person is a person no matter how big or small.” Convincing the Kangaroo, the jungle’s rule enforcer and stuck up mother (played by Carol Burnett) isn’t going to be easy. “If you cannot hear or see it, it is not real,” she says. This elephant never seems to give up, searching through meadows, believing in the town, and risking his life. The actors do a very good job. Steve Carell, Jim Carrey, Carol Burnett, Josh Flitter, Will Arnett, and Jesse McCartney are definitely funny and are great actors. A few parts are a bit confusing, though, like understanding how Whoville is about to be destroyed.Horton Hears a Who comes to theaters on Friday, March 14, 2008. I recommend this movie to everyone six and up. On a scale of 1-5, I rate this movie a 4. This is a hilarious movie and great for the family. The movie has a lesson to learn, too – we’re all equal, no matter our size.

That movie looked so cute! I loved how you used quotes and gave a quick brief lowdown on the movie without giving away the end.
