Experience a jungle teeming with life, a beautiful shoreline, and a flash flood without even leaving Denver! At the Downtown Aquarium, you can do all that and even get a good meal! When I went there, I was amazed at how many beautiful undersea animals there were. The Downtown Aquarium has many habitats such as rainforest, desert, shore and more. They also have quite a few animalsin additionto fish andsharks. The Downtown Aquarium has birds, tigers, frogs, and snakes as well. The activities here are also an experience in themselves. When I was there, I fed stingrays and walked into a small bubble shaped area in one of the large tanks. My personal favorite was the stingrays. The stingrays were very friendly and would let you pet them even if you didn’t have fish to feed them. They are astounding little synchronized swimmers as well. They swim over each other and leap out of the water in little hops. The shark exhibit is also exciting. The sharks in the exhibit look as if they are five feet long! Looking at the sharks through little glass circles in the floor is the best part of the exhibit. The sharks come up towards your feet to get out, they are so close that you could think the shark could break the glass. Many other experiences can also be had here. Maybe you could catch some frogs playing leap frog, or see an eel swimming through some holes in the coral. Whatever your taste in animals is, I’m sure you could have a swimmingly good time here with some friends and family.
