On the 6th of May I had the opportunity to watch the first volume of a series called Power Rangers – Operation Overdrive. The first volume was called Brownbeard's Pearl and would be a great movie for ages 7-13. I would give volume 1 a B+. Basically this movie is about imagination and good and evil forces. There is a super cool way they change into their suits, there is super cool weapons, super cool bad guys, and there is super cool powers.
There is a legendary item called the Corona Aurora that is a crown. Long ago good forces had scattered jewels on the crown to keep the world safe. Now to save the world the Power Rangers need to find the jewels.
While watching this movie, I noticed that there was a lot of gymnastics involved. Even when an explosion exploded behind a bad guy, killing them, the bad guy flew into the air, flipped and twirled at least 5 times and then landed. That was one of the things I didn't like about this. Another thing was the songs. Some of the songs were baby style songs. That also bothered me.
But everything else was great. I REALLY encourage you to watch this movie and am looking forward to watching Volume 2!
