Diamonds & Love

Juliana Lombardi writes, I have almost everything…

I have almost everything, as you can see Yet, for some reason I’m always unhappy I’ve got jewels and riches galore My possesions fill from ceiling to floor I have everything; It’s all for me But it ‘s taken so long to see… Diamonds don’t heal wounds And diamonds don’t mend broken hearts They may sparkle like stars and light up a room But once ‘tasted’ that splendor turns quite tart… Something more will remain Something more is there to be seen There’s something else to tame And Love, not jewels, is what will make me a queen…. Because diamonds are never They are never for forever They fade to dust and crumble at our feet And only Love can make us sweet And Diamonds are never They are never, ever…..forever
