The Olympics are now in progress and the U.S.A. Men’s Basketball team is on a mission to win their 13th Gold Medal in the 16 Summer Olympics that have contained basketball. The USA team has 12 players, 3 forwards, 6 guards, 1 center, and 2 forward/centers. Carlos Boozer is a Forward/Center for the Utah Jazz, Boozer is 6’8″ and Averaged 21.1 points which was a career-high. Los Angeles Lakers Shooting Guard and 2007-2008 season MVP Kobe Bryant, who is one of the best players on the team, Bryant was named after Kobe Beef which is a famous beef in Japan. Dallas Mavericks Point Guard Jason Kidd who was named the 2007 USA Basketball Male Athlete of the Year. Cleveland Cavaliers Small Forward LeBron James who had the NBA’s highest points per game during the 2007-2008 season with 30.0 PPG. Utah Jazz Point Guard Deron Williams, also known as D-Will started all 82 games last season and had career-highs in nearly every statistic. Denver’s Own Small Forward Carmelo Anthony who was voted the 2006 USA Basketball Men’s Athlete of the Year. Other athletes on the team include Shooting Guards Micheal Redd and Dwyane Wade, Center and 2008 Slam Dunk Contest Champion Dwight Howard, Forward/Center Chris Bosh, 2005-2006 Rookie of the Year Point Guard and the smallest player on the Team at 6’0″ Point Guard Chris Paul, and Small Forward for the Detroit Pistons Tayshaun Prince. The Head Coach for the USA team is Basketball Hall of Famer and Duke University Head Coach since 1980 Mike Krzyzewski, Better known as Coach K.The most recent Summer Olympics the USA team finished with a Bronze Medal which is a disappointment considering the talent of the team. In the USA’s first qualifying game was Sunday morning and the USA beat the Hosting China 101-70.

    I am quite impressed by your writing style. Also, I would like to tell Miss Rachel Israelsen that the events in China are very important and furthermore, the Olympics are probably the most spectacular ever. Last, most of us DO write about events in our community, with the occasional exception of a groundbreaking world event.
