Have you ever been to the big rock with presidents on it? Well, I just went. There’s a lot at Mt. Rushmore besides the four presidents. What about the Avenue of Flags? The Avenue of Flags is a big sidewalk with all the state flags flapping in the breeze. After the Avenue of Flags, there is a balcony from where you can look up at Mt. Rushmore. Look down and you can see the ampitheatre. When you go around the stairs, there is a museum. When you go inside it, you can see exhibits and a short film about Mt. Rushmore wildlife. My favorite part of Mt. Rushmore was the Junior Ranger program. You register by getting a booklet with “challenges”for ages five to eight and nineto twelve. There are activities, puzzles, and other mind bending, fun questions. When you are done with the booklet, you get a badge. You also say a pledge about protecting Mt. Rushmore. When you go into the parking lot, you can see license plates from all over North America. When you leave, remember that George, TJ, Teddy and Abe are watching you!
