With all the excitement of preparing for the DNC nothing could have been done without all the volunteers. These dedicated people come from all over the U.S. “I just graduated from college, and I knew that it would be an historic moment that I didn’t want to miss,” enthused Doug Foote from Lexington, Massachusetts. Doug was working on the Air Force One 707 taking pictures of visitors exiting the plane for his job as a volunteer at the American Presidential Experience. Vanessa Finley, also from the American Presidential Experience, a volunteer from Kansas City, working with the parking had a similar response when she said, “I think that this is a historic time and I have family and friends here so I knew I had a place to stay.” For some like Dr. Susan Savary from Newport Beach, California, who was volunteering in the replica of the Oval Office said, “I have always been a Hillary supporter and life-time Democrat.” Bo Foyd from Alabama is a Hillary follower and that is why she decided to volunteer. Volunteers have and will continue to be a great help with the DNC. Even when playing Lincoln Logs with the children who are visiting the American Presidential Experience, they are still playing a role in this convention. Whether they are entertaining children, are aboard the Air Force One answering questions, or giving directions, they all play an important role in this convention.
