Have you ever read a book that you want the whole world to know about? Well, She Touched The World is one of those books. She Touched The World by Sally Hobart Alexander and Robert Alexander is about a girl named Laura Bridgman who was a deaf-blind pioneer in the 1800s. Between the ages of 0 and 3, Laura could see and hear like anyone else, but at the age of 3 Laura caught scarlet fever. Her two older sisters also caught scarlet fever. Laura may not have known, but her sisters died from scarlet fever, while Laura just lost her senses of sight and hearing. Until the age of 7, Laura explored her house by feeling around until she knew everything from it’s texture. At the age of 7, a man named Dr. Reuben Mussey came to look at Laura. He studied her and discovered how smart she was. If you want to hear what happens after that, you’ll just have to read She Touched The World.

Give me a little more info. Is this a true story? Why is it this book so amazing? I have plenty of questions that need to be answered before I read the book. But, the story was good.
