“Are you going to be my doctor?” Isn’t turning 13 years old suppoesed to be awesome, wel not in Dawn Rochelle’s case. All Dawn could think about was finally becoming a teen! But, when Dawn went to the Doctor her unexplained symptoms lead to cancer, luekemia. Dawn is still shocked, that she is spending her teenage years in the hospital. But after a year and a half of chemotherapy, a releiving remission letter is sent to her. She is excited and anxious but sad to leave her roomate, who had become her best friend. Sally (her best friend) was also fighting cancer, she gave Dawn the hope she needed to get throught it. Soon after Dawn left, Sally followed both anxious to move on with their new and improved life. But after a couple years of remission Dawn received a letter from the Chandlers. (Sally’s Parents) Sally and Dawn had been sending eachother letters and calling eachother, trying to keep in touch. The letter had started “Yesterday, We lost our beloved Sandy.” Dawn does not know how to contain herself Sally gave her everything she needed to fight cancer.
