What a month October is! It’s seems like every one is doing there part for Breast Cancer Research. With all the walks, runs, donations, and even your local super market pitching in, Colorado should break a record for Breast Cancer Research donations this year. I am very proud and excited that my karate school (Mile High Karate) is doing a great fundraiser. My Master ( Robert Lewis, fifth degree black belt), donated $1,000 and challenged the students to match it. We are doing that by selling pink karate belts for $10.00 each and we can wear it in class for the month of October. Even the parents are getting involved. We are half way to our goal and hope to raise $2,000. This is a cause dear to my heart. My Grandma Vicky had breast cancer in 1985, at the age of 35. Back then, there was not as much research or information about the disease and several people did not get through it. She now has been cancer free for 23 years and counting. If anyone is interested in purchasing a pink belt or checking out Mile High Karate, call 303-986-5468. All donations will be going to Breast Cancer Society. PS… I am a HIGH BLUE BELT and on my way to becoming a BLACK BELT. Thank You to Master Lewis at Mile High Karate.
