Just imagine, 90 students, one music teacher, two school busses and four concerts all in one week. Westgate Choir had a great and busy week. First ,on Monday the 8th, we performed for our school. We were very happy that no one fell off the risers. (It’s very very hard to get 90 kids up there) On the 9th, we had friends, family, and the community watch us perform. My mom got there early because seats go very fast. As I got on the stage, it was hard to see because all the parents were taking so many pictures. It made us all smile to see how much the audience enjoyed the Fruit Cake song. Wednesday the 10th, we are off again to perform for the Superintendent’s and Prinicipals at the Education Center in Golden. We were very nervous, but we held it together. At the end of the performance, we received a standing ovation and sugar cookies. Our grand fanally was at Colorado Mills Mall on Friday the 12th, where our Marimba Group joined us. As a reward, we all got to eat at the food court. What a busy, but fun week I had. Can’t wait until our next performance. I would like to thank Stacey Landes, the choir teacher, Karen Zayaz, our piano player, and Debbie DeSantis with the Colorado Children’s Chorale.
