Skating With The Stars

My family and I went to Belmar in Lakewood to look at all the Holiday lights. Much to my surprise, in the middle of all the shoping stores, there is a outdoor ice rink. I begged my mom to let us go and she said” we don’t have any gloves”. I said, No problem theres a Gap right next to the rink. After getting new gloves, it was time to see if I could skate on ice. It wasn’t long before I found out how hard the ice was. Let me tell you, my butt will never be the same. (ha ha ha ) My mom said I made it a whole minute without falling. My brother was pretty good at it until he wanted to get off. Let me tell you the kid can crawl very fast on ice. Out in the middle of the rink there was a giant couch that people could take a break on. On the side of the rink there are 8 giant heaters to keep everyone warm. They really worked, you couldn’t tell it was only 25 degree outside. There was about 40 people skating and several spectators cheering us on. I think some of them were laughing at us too. It was 10:00 at night and my mom said it’s time to go. As I was leaving the ice I looked up and saw all the stars out, it was beautiful. Just imagine, skating at night with all the Holiday lights under the stars. It was perfect and I loved it. If you are looking for a fun activity, check out Belmar where you can eat dinner, go shoping, check out a movie and top it all off with a outdoor ice rink. The rink is open January 8 th till February 22 nd. Times Thurs. and Fri. from 4pm till 9pm and Sat. and Sun. 11am till 9pm Adults are $6.00 and Children are $4.00. Skate Rentals are $3.00. Helmets are free for anyone who needs them. I would like to thank Belmar for the beautiful Holiday lights and the experience of skating under the stars.
