Lately, it seems like it’s been a long time since we have seen a great family movie. Too often, they’re too racy for the kids or too boring for the adults. However, the perfect family movie has just been released. It’s called “Bedtime Stories”, and it is possibly the cutest, family-friendly movie I’ve seen in years. In the movie, Skeeter Bronson (Adam Sandler), a lowly janitor at a classy hotel. All he dreams about is running the hotel someday, but the world just seems to be against him. For one thing, the hotel’s new manager has been named, his best friend is a little bit crazy, and now he’s just been told to babysit his sister’s children, Patrick (Johnathan Hiet) and Bobbi (Laura Kesling). While dodging their annoying and admittedly attractive daytime babysitter, Jill (Keri Russel), he takes the night shift, tucking the children in bed and trying to get them to fall asleep. As he tells the young kids bedtime stories, the two pop in their own versions of the stories, with the help of their disturbingly bug-eyed guinea pig. Then, to his shock, the stories begin to start coming true. Could this mean all his dreams could come true? Or could this mean complete ruin for Skeeter? This movie was charming and very intertaining, full of humor and feel-good laughter. Rated PG, it is available wherever movies are sold on DVD and Disney Blu-Ray.
