Last few days in ski season!!

Well, April’s here already, and with it comes the sun. Lots of sunlight. In fact, most of that famous Colorado snow has already started to melt. That means that most of the ski slopes have closed for the season. However, one of my favorites is still open: Arapahoe Basin, more commonly known as A-Basin. Although admittedly late in the season, A-Basin still has a lot of great runs open. For those who have never been, A-Basin is located on the west side of Loveland Pass in Summit County, Colorado. It’s a beautiful, smaller ski area with a lot of great runs for beginner, intermediate, and expert skiiers alike. With 102 runs and bowls, with 900 acres of landcurrently open, it has something everyone will enjoy, like a nice easy ride on beginner’s run Wrangler, a breathless dash through the intermediate Timber-Bashing Glades, or a death-defying trip down Expert-level Pallavicini. Or, if you want, you could try all three. In addition to their popular front side, A-basin has just opened up new back-mountain runs and a shiny new chairlift, which makes a great trip for intermediate skiiers. Try A-basin if you dare, but hurry before the sun peeps out too far and melts it all away…
