Do you like graphic novels, friendship and mabye a bit of magic? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then Claire and the Water Wish, written and illustrated by Janice Poon, is the book for you . In this graphic novel, three girls are put together to do a project about human-nature relationships. Then, one girl gets a camera and is taking pictures the whole time, while the other girls are working on the project. Claire and the Water Wishis the sequel to Claire and the Bakery Thief, another black-and-white manga book . Claire and the Water Wishwas published in 2009 by Kids Can Press. It is a quick read and could easily be read in a day. The book is written from Claire’s perspective, and you can feel her emotions along with her. I think this book would be good for anyone who likes to read about friendships, fashion and photography. However, if you do not like “girly-girl” books, I would recommend staying away.
