Crowd Washed Away

Today (the 15th of February, 2010), while watching a northern California surfing contest at Half Moon Bay, California, a crowd containing hundreds of people were knocked down when powerful 6-foot-waves washed over them. 13 people were injured in this surprising event, injuries including broken legs and a few broken hands, as well. Luckily, nobody was swept out into the Pacific Ocean, but check out the video at You’ll see people tumbling in from the ocean, while those still standing are almost covered with water, or waist high.
