If you have planned a future trip to Disneyland or areplanning to visit again, here are some ways to get the most of your experienceat Disneyland in Anaheim, California. You might have the option to stay at ahotel on the Disney property. I would highly recommend this option if it is inyour budget. You will be within walking distance of the parks, have great, friendly service, and you will get Magic Hours. Magic Hours are the ability toenter the Magic Kingdom Park an hour before it opens to the general publicevery other day. This is useful if you want to ride attractions without waitingin line.Of course, you can alwaysFastpass a ride. The Fastpass is a system to reduce your wait time on rideswith long lines. You scan your dailypark admission in a Fastpass machine. This machine tells you atime in which to return to the ride, usually a few hours later and youbasically get to cut to the front of the line at that time. However, you canonly Fastpass again until the previous one expires. In the Magic Kingdom, Ihighly recommend Fastpassing Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and the IndianaJones Adventure. Other rides you have to try are Pirates of the Caribbean,Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Jungle Cruise, Star Tours, andMatterhorn. On the Matterhorn, the lines are very long all day. I would suggest getting to that ride assoon as possible and if you want a wild ride, go on the left side of theattraction, if not, choose the right. There are also countless theme rides togo on which move slowly, but are Disney classics, with characters like Dumbo,Snow White, Pinocchio, and Mr. Toad. If you have a sibling (or you) who is obsessed with fairytales,go on the Storybook ride; it is on a boat and goes through mini villages themedon princess stories. The other park at Disneyland is the California Adventure. This park is best suited for older kids wanting thrill rides. When you are there, the first ride to goon is Soarin’ Over California. When the park opens, this ride isn’t very busy, but later in the day the lines are long; you could wait for an hour and ahalf.Another fun ride to go onearly in the morning is Mulholland Madness, a jerky ride in a car like vehicle. After riding that, head over to Paradise Pier and the boardwalk. On the boardwalk, you can play allsorts of carnival games for cute Disney stuffed animals. Then you should Fastpass CaliforniaScreamin’ and Tower of Terror as the lines get long fast. Other attractions totry are Grizzly River Run, Flik’s Fun Fair, Monsters Inc.’s Mike and Sulley tothe Rescue, Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, Muppet Vision 3-D, and theMaliboomer. The Maliboomer shoots you up 190 feet in the air at 45mph only todrop you back down, I would recommend it to older children and parents, mostlybecause of the height requirement. You can also take tours of replicas of the Mission Tortilla Factory andthe Boudin Bakery, awesome because you get free tortillas and sourdough bread.Disneyland is a great place for kids and adults, any age. Itreally is in my opinion, “The Happiest Place on Earth”.I have been to Disney parks many timesand love them. Every visit is a new adventure so you will never get bored.Overall: 10 out of 10Rides: 10 out of 10Atmosphere: 10 out of 10Food: 10 out of 10Price: 8 out of 10Fun: 15 out of 10
