Got an old record that nobody uses anymore? Craving a yummy snack? Get permission from your parents, and boy, have I got an activity for you! (If you don’t have a record, go to your library and ask if they have any records they would be willing to give away)The Record Bowls1. Preheat your oven to 275 degrees2. Make a pretty big ball of tin foil with a flat bottom. (Big enough so when your record melts, it doesn’t touch the cookie sheet. You’ll be putting your record on top of it so it gets the bowl shape)3. The oven beeped? Now, cover a cookie sheet with tin foil, stick the tin foil ball (flat side down) on the cookie sheet. Place the record on top of it , make sure it’s stable.4. Stick the cookie sheet in the oven and wait 2-3 minutes. Take it out and immediately start shaping your bowl, it might be hot but if you wait for it to cool it will be too lateto mold. Too late? Just put it in again, and try once more.5. Isn’t it awesome? This is great for dry foods like trail mix or crackers. Having your cereal in here is not such a great idea. 1) Because the chemicals on the record will not taste so good in your bowl of Captain Crunch. 2) There is a hole in the bottom of your record bowl.Goldfish GORP1. Put in 2 cups of multicolored goldfish.2. 1 cup of chocolate candies. (or more if you like!!)3. 1/2 a cup of roasted peanuts.4. 1/2 a cup of raisins(It’s really your decision how much of each item you put in. This is a small amount, you can just start out with that. If you love chocolate, put in more chocolate! If you hate raisins, put in 1/4 cup, not a half cup! Don’t take away ingredients though, it ruins the idea of Goldfish GORP)Tropical Trail Mix1. 2 cups of pretzel sticks2. 2 cups of white chocolate chips3. 1 cup of banana chips4. 1 cup of soynuts5. 1/2 a cup of dried pineapple6. 1/2 a cup dried mango7. 1/4 cup of macadamia nuts(Again, you can change the amounts you put in, if you like one thing more thn something else. Just don’t take out ingredients!)Fish Food!1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees2. Lay out the short, stubby kind of pretzels on a cookie sheet with tin foil. Put on as many as you like.3. Take a few packages of ranch dressing seasoning and sprinkle over the pretzels.4. Sprinkle chopped parsley on to the pretzels. There should be parsley on every pretzel.5. Pour 2 caps full of canola oil on the pretzels.6. Add pepper and salt.7. Stick in the oven, and take out when a few of the pretzels are burned.
