Demi Lovato's new charity, TeensAgainstBullying.org, is sweeping quickly across the country. Demi has met with kids from all across the country who have been physically, vocally or bullied through e-mails and text messages.
Demi says "…this cause is so important to me because I was bullied in school. It got so bad that I actually dropped out and was home schooled. I don't want to see that happen to another innocent kid." Demi reaches out to bullied kids and talks to them about the reasons kids bully them and not to think about the things they say. She tells them that even though someone says something it doesn't make it true. Kids talk to her about their problems and about ways to overcome bullying.
Demi's charity also provides National Bullying Prevention Awareness Week, October fourth through tenth. She is hoping to have as many schools as possible participate in this program to help raise awareness to more students and schools.
