This adventure through the sky all started in a small owl hollow high above the ground in a tall tree occupied by a very happy family. There was the dreamer, Soren, the naughty brother, Kludd, the newborn sister Eglantine and two loving parents. After disobeying their parents by trying to learn how to fly on their own, Soren and Kludd find themselves on the ground, in danger of being an animal's dinner! Suddenly they were in the sky, but in the talons of other owls! They were flown to an owl orphanage, even though they were not orphans. It turns out that it was the evil owl academy preparing for battle to rule all owls. Soren manages to escape but Kludd refuses to go with him. There is tension between Soren, who stayed pure and Kludd, who becomes evil. Soren begins a quest to find the Guardians of Ga'Hoole, owls who fight for good, as told to him in stories by his father. Along the way, Soren meets great new friends.
I thought that this movie was very good and appropriate for our age group. Although there are some parts that are very hard to catch. "Legend of the Guardians:The Owls of Ga'Hoole" is rated PG and is also shown in 3D. The special effects in the movie are great, I would recommend this movie as a family movie. If you have read the books, like me, then you will love the movie, though it does differ quite a bit.
