Colorado’s Most Haunted

Kelsey Campbell writes, Colorado has one of the most haunted places in the country.

Colorado has one of the most haunted places in the country. The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado. Most famous for inspiring Steven King’s The Shining. The owner, Mr. Stanley, and his wife where sent up to the Rocky Mountains to help with Stanley’s tuberculosis, a potenialy deadly lung tumor, and to get some fresh air. Later they fell in love with the area and built The Stanley Hotel in the early 1900’s. From the outside it may look like a peaceful place to stay the night but go inside, and you will think again. A young girl by the name of Katie died at age 12, but still comes back to her favorite place and the place she feels most at home, the basement. She is known to do everything from laughing to crying and even has been caught on tape saying clearly Hello? Alot of ghost investigators have come to the hotel to try and get the ghosts on tape. Last summer the Ghost Hunters came to do a live investigation, and got some very freaky evidence. You can also go to the following URL to see the Ghost Adventurers trip to the Stanley and the history: There is a story about a couple staying in a room, and the women starts to scream out, “GET OUT, GET AWAY! HELP ME!” like something was trying to take over her body. One of the investigators in the link above stays in the room over night, take a look! If you are a nonbeliever, go to the Stanley Hotel and I bet, you will believe. I interviewed my Uncle who came back from staying at the Stanley and said to have not seen any ghost but to have felt an eerie presents. With wolves howling in the background and all the spirits, we hope you enjoy your stay at The Stanley Hotel.
