The story of The Little Prince by Joann Sfar is the revised story that was previously written by Antoine De Saint-Exupery in 1943. This story is about a pilot who finds himself stranded in the desert after landing his plane because he needed to fix it. The pilot is alone and knows he’s going to die of thirst unless he can fix his plane. He is joined in the desert by The Little Prince, a traveler from a tiny planet located many miles away. The Little Prince tells the pilot his story of the tiny planet he lives on, with it’s three volcanoes and a single flower that he looked after until the flower upset him with her demands. Feeling disappointed, The Little Prince left the flower behind and set off on his travels, stopping at six tiny asteroids that were each left by a strange adult. Each new journey teaches The Little Prince something about life and how different adults are until he lands on Earth where he discovers that the thing he wants most is to return home, to catch up with his simple life.Although, I don’t really read comics I really enjoyed looking at the pictures that are in this book. The comics I usually read are short simple and straight to the point. This comic is long but tells a great story about a boy (The Little Prince) that wants to discover the simple things in life, such as love.I would definitely recommend this book to all people that love to read. It’s a really good book and it is really well written. However, if you’re under the age of 12, I would highly recommend reading this book with a parent or older sibling because there are some parts of the book that are difficult to understand. I think that the revised version of this book by Joann Sfar is a great book and she’s a great artist and writer.
