The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss

Hannah Skurcenski writes, Dr.

Dr. Seuss’ “The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, There is Nothing to Fear in Here”, is based on a Dr. Seuss story, but has Muppet- like characters. It also features three separate stories – There is Nothing to Fear in Here, The Blag- Bludder Beast, and Norval the Great. There are some catchy songs that kids might want to sing along to. In the first story, it is educational, and tells how to make the best of a not-so-good situation. The last 2 stories are lessons about telling the truth. There is Nothing to Fear in HereIn There’s Nothing to Fear in Here, the story gives ideas for fun things to do while it’s raining outside. The Blag- Bludder BeastIn The Blag- Bludder Beast, Yertle the Turtle gets the chance to trick everyone in the town of Troomph. People believe him and think he’s great. He has the chance to do the right thing or the wrong thing. Which will he chose? Norval the GreatIn Norval the Great, Binky tells a long story to two friends of Binky’s about he and his fish, Norval the Great. In his story, he explains how Binky and Norval met. Binky tells them about all of the adventures that they took. But is Binky’s story true or was he just making it up? There are several funny parts to keep kids laughing, but it also teaches some pretty good lessons. Overall, I think that this movie is definitely geared towards little kids, and I would give this movie 4 out of 5 Muppets.
