Harry Potter: The Deathly Hallows: Part 1Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 is an action filled movie with great actors including Emma Watson[Hermione Granger] , Daniel Radcliffe[ Harry Potter], and Rupert Grint[Ron Weasley]. The story is about Harry’s last year at Hogwarts and Voldemort is more powerful than ever. Throughout the entire movie Harry is being chased by the Death Eaters [Voldemort followers].The movie is filled with suspense and action, though at times it can get a bit overwhelming. Don’t get me wrong when I say I like a little action in a movie, however there is a fine line between action filled and just stupid. In Harry Potter, rather than an interesting story from start to finish, the movie gets too caught up in action. There are very few scenes that show any kind of kindness or happiness in the movie. Throughout the film you are begging for a break from the non-stop action. There is one seen where Harry and Hermione are dancing and that is one of the only happy scene. One thing I liked about this film is that at times it has great humor that will make you quote the scene time and time again. The end leaves you wanting more and wondering what is going to happen next if you have not read the book yet. The story is tiresome and can get very dry at times. Daniel Radcliffe’s [Harry Potter] acting was terrific as well as Helena Bonham Carter [Bellatrix Lestrange]. They both really bring the personality of the character into the film. At the same time some actors like Miranda Richardson [Rita Skeeter] bring no life into their part. For example in a scene she is just talking with barely an expression. Thankfully they do not take away from the movie too much. Sadly this movie did not live up to my expectations. I expected for some scenes to plain up blow me away when they were average. For example the very end I expected something amazing but it just fell flat. I really like this movie even though there are a few flaws every here and there. I give it a 7/10 for the great actors, cliffhanger ending, and the comedy; the reason it did not get a full 10 stars is the overwhelming action, bleak storyline, and not so great actors. I would recommend this to anybody who enjoys the Harry Potter but boys in particular because of the neverending action.
